MOST RUNS IN TEST SERIES (CRICKET)

974 runs is the most runs in test series figure in test cricket history.

The record of scoring the most runs in a Test series is named after the great Australian batsman Sir Donald Bradman.

He made this record Ashes series in 1930.  Bradman had then scored 974 runs in seven innings of five matches of the series, which is still a record.

His sequence of scores being 8, 131, 254, 1, 334, 14, 232.

In the Ashes, two years earlier, the record was named after England's Wally Hammond, who scored 905 runs in nine innings of five matches.  Two years later, Bradman broke his record.

The special thing is that Bradman made the first three-century century 334 in the same series.
