Controversy that embarrassed cricket

Cricket is considered to be a gentlemen's game, but there has been some such incident in cricket that caused cricket to be embarrassed.

We are discussing some of these embarrassing controversies.

SPOT FIXING

Spot-fixing is a stigma attached to cricket and other sports that corrupts human intelligence.

A. IPL SPOT FIXING

The spot-fixing incident in the 2013 Indian Premier League is the most embarrassing incident in the history of IPL.  S.Sreesanth Ajit Chandila and Ankit Rajput, playing for Rajasthan Royal in this season of IPL, were found guilty of spot fixing.

Because of which he had to lose his career and was also jailed.  Due to this incident, two teams of IPL, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royal were dismissed for 2 years.

B. PAKISTAN SPOT FIXING

Pakistan cricket team has always been infamous in the cricket world for the misdeeds of its players.

But due to the misdeeds of the players of the Pakistan team who went on a tour of England in 2010, the Pakistan cricket team was nowhere to be seen.

Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt Mohammad Aamir and Mohammad Asif and were found guilty in the fixing case.

He was accused of taking money from a booking called Market Mazar for more pictures.  When the charges were proved against them, the suspension of the three players was imposed from 5 to 10 years.

C. SOUTH AFRICA SPOT FIXING

Hansi Cronje, a former captain of the South Africa cricket team, was considered one of the better men.

But due to the misdeeds of his pot fixing, he had to be discredited in the entire cricket world.

This incident happened when the South African team visited India in 2000.  Captain Hansi Cronje and Harshalle Gibbs were found guilty in spot-fixing.

This incident ruined his cricketing career, after which he died in a plane crash.

BALL TEMPERING

Australian player Steven Smith is considered a good man and player.  But one of his handiwork tarnished his image.

Australia's aggressiveness and habit of never giving up made him a five-time world champion.  Sledging is one of the weapons he can take to watch the match.

Ever since Steven Smith became Australia's captain, Australia had suffered a lot.  Their series of losses continued like this when the Australian team was on a tour of South Africa in March 2018.

It was the third Test match of the series.  Australia was in danger of defeat.  So captain Steven Smith and David Warner came up with a plan and they molested Ball with sandpaper that caused the ball to swing.  He was accompanied by bowler Cameron Bancroft in the scheme.

But his plan came under the scanner and the three players were found guilty.  All three players were banned for 1 year.

The incident embarrassed the Australian cricket board all over the world

UMPIRE WRONG DECISION

In cricket, the decision of the umpire is final.  Everyone hopes that the umpire decides he is a partyman.  But there have been incidents in cricket in which cricket was embarrassed due to our biased decision.

A. STEAVE BUCKNER V INDIA

West Indies umpire Steve Buckner is considered one of the best umpires in cricket.  Most of his decisions were deft and accurate and that is why he had a different image in the cricket world.

In 2007-08 India were on a tour of Australia, a test match was going on between India and Australia in Sydney but umpire Steve Bakhner's biased and wrong decision defeated India.

Umpire Steve Buckner's decisions after watching camera were biased and inaccurate due to which the image of us was crushed in the cricket world.

B. DARRYL HAIR VS SRI LANKA

the Boxing Day Test of 1995, umpire Darrell Hair called seven no-balls on Sri Lanka spinner Muttiah Muralitharan in the space of three overs.

Hair believed the off-spinner was deliberately throwing the ball, and it incensed Sri Lankan captain Arjuna Ranatunga so much that he took his players off the pitch temporarily.

It was not the last time Muralitharan was called for throwing by an umpire, but after ICC testing, his arm was shown to be flexed within the legal limit of 15 degrees.

C. MIKE DENNESE Vs INDIA

In 2001, the Indian team went on a tour of South Africa.  The feud with match referee Mike Dennese on the tour is also considered a stigma.

The test match between India and South Africa was going on and on the appeal of Virender Sehwag in the match, objected to the match referee and the umpire.  Virender Sehwag and five other players were suspended from Match.

The legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar had to face suspension for the controversy over tampering with bowling.

The controversy had grown so much that the match referee was dropped and the next match was canceled.  In return, a non-official Test match was played between India and South Africa.

MONKEY GATE CONTROVARSY

The Monkey Gate controversy is a tarnished controversy in cricket.

This incident belongs to the Indian team that visited Australia in 2007-08.  The Test match between India and Australia was going on in Sydney and India was in the position of batting Sachin Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh.

Harbhajan Singh was batting well, then Australia player Andrew Symond probably did not like this.  That's why Andrew Symonds was deliberately acting with Harbhajan Singh.Once at a time Harbhajan got angry and said something to Andrew Symond.

So it was heard  monkey by Andrew Symond, so Simon accused Harbhajan that Harbhajan Singh called him Monkey.

After this the controversy increased greatly even Harbhajan Singh faced suspension for one match.  They were also prosecuted outside and they were acquitted.
