Kapil Dev Nikhanj (born 6 January 1959) is a former Indian cricketer. He was a fast bowler and a hard hitting middle order batsman. Regarded as one of the greatest all-rounders to play the game, he is also regarded as one of the greatest captains in the history of cricket. He was named by Wisdenas the Indian Cricketer of the Century in 2002

Kapil Dev maked debut in cricket for India on 1 at October 1978 in ODI against Pakistan in international cricket also maked debut in test in the same series on 16 October.

Kapil never stopped his journey of international cricket of 16 years by any injury or other reason.

He played continually for 16 years for India before he retired from international cricket on 17 October 1994 in ODI against West Indies.

He was Highest wicket taker in test before cortany Walsh of West Indies broke his record of Highest wickets taker in test cricket.

He was one of the greatest all-rounder of time.
